God's Attributes
Infinite
1 Kings 8:27
But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold,
heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this
temple which I have built!
NKJV
The infinity of God means He is without limitations, without bounds or limits. He is not limited by the universe nor by matter nor by time-space boundaries.
Acts 17:24-28
24 God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. 25 Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. 26 And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ NKJV
Being infinite, God's greatness, transcendence, and limitlessness put Him beyond our comprehension. But, God still wants to relate to us and wants us to related to Him.
How does God want us to relate to Him?
Jeremiah 9:23-24
23 Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; 24 But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the Lord. NKJV
